Application Usage

Monitoring and analyzing how various applications are used within an organization is essential for Shadow IT. The Application Usage provides insights into how applications are being used within an organization. This feature enables MSPs to:

• Track application adoption and usage: Understand which applications are being used, by whom, and how often.

• Identify unused or underused applications: Reclaim licenses and reduce waste by identifying applications that are not being utilized.

• Optimize application licenses: Make data-driven decisions to right-size licenses and reduce costs.

• Improve security and compliance: Detect and address potential security risks associated with unused or underused applications.

Filters

Use the filters to easily report on a specific Department, Job Title and/or Employee.

Summary Charts

The summary charts will give you an overview of the date range selected by:

• Apps by Approval Status (Approved, Restricted or Pending Review)

• Apps by Risk Scores (Low, Medium or High)

• Apps by Productivity (Low, Medium or High)

Application list

Applications with usage within the date range will be displayed with:

• Application name

• Category

• Status

• Risk

• Productivity

• Discovered (Web/Desktop)

• User count

• Days Active bar chart

Report Export

Export the selection from this tab as PDF, CSV and Excel. You can also program it as a Scheduled Report to be automatically delivered in your email.

Customize the application status and risk levels per tenant or to all companies. Simply click on the application to open the details and then in Edit. You can also manage the applications in the App Catalog.
