Named Locations

A named location is a reusable set of countries or IP ranges that Conditional Access policies can reference. Instead of writing the same list of office IP addresses into five policies, you define it once as a named location and point the policies at it.

From Secure > Conditional Access > Named Locations you can create, view, edit and delete named locations across your customer tenants, and see which Conditional Access policies use each one.

Augmentt supports the two Microsoft location types:

• Countries Location — a set of countries or regions, resolved either by IP address or by GPS coordinates

• IP Ranges Location — a set of IPv4 or IPv6 CIDR ranges

Access. You need the Manage permission on Secure to create, edit or delete named locations.

Named locations do nothing on their own. They are inputs to Conditional Access policies. Creating one has no effect until a policy references it. See the Conditional Access guides for policy creation.
